Bradley Morrison – Conductor
I am the founder, conductor, and director of the Youth Wind Ensemble of Westchester.
Under my direction, the Youth Wind Ensemble of Westchester has grown to include two performing groups: the Senior Winds for students in grades 9-12, which I conduct, and the Junior Winds, conducted by Mr. Micah Sprague, for students in grades 5-8. The Senior Winds have taken Superior and First Place ratings at various competitions and festivals. They also received Honorable Mention in 2017 and 2nd Place in 2018 in the American Prize competition for Wind Band Performance. In 2018 I received Honorable Mention for the American Prize in Wind Band Conducting for my work with the ensemble.
Our recording of the piece, Prelude on a Gregorian Tune (scroll down for youtube video), by David Maslanka, was featured on the composer’s website in its “best of the web” series.
